I’m Chris Tellez and I’m actually a wedding photographer most of the time. Wait, wait wait… don’t leave yet. I love weddings, and I think the ceremony is SUCH a beautiful part of the day, and I bet you do too. So let me tell you a little story…
One weekend I was photographing 3 back-to-back weddings. It turned out they all had the same officiant. On the second day, they started the ceremony and I thought I was having Deja Vu… It was THE SAME SPEECH. Word for Word, Beat for Beat. And I get it, they probably just have way too many weddings to really personalize every experience. Wedding #3… same speech.
After that weekend I made up my mind. I would get my officiant’s license and I would only take on a small number of clients, so that I could offer them the time, care and attention they deserve, just like I do for my photography business.

It starts with a conversation…
We will book a call to discuss the ceremony, what you love about wedding ceremonies, what you hate about them, and what you really, truly want yours to look like.
I will offer suggestions and help bring us to the kind of ceremony that feels great for you.
Wanna start with a kiss? awesome!
Have a cool handshake? Lets do it.
I even once saw a couple check their blood sugar levels during the ceremony… I’ll tell you about it when we meet.
Questionnaire Time…
I will send each of you a questionnaire to fill out separately, asking questions about how you met, what you love about each other, which TV show character the other one is most like… you know, the important stuff.
Your responses will help me craft a great ceremony for you, and will offer a really beautiful look into your relationship and journey together as a couple, for the guests and for you.
It usually takes 20-30 minutes to fill out but i HIGHLY encourage you to take your time, this is one of those “the more you give the more you get” kind of things.
The Big Day…
I’ll arrive before the ceremony with all the paperwork ready to go. I’ll be suited up, and I’ll even bring snacks.
Most ceremonies end up being between 15-20 minutes, but that really comes down to what you are looking for, what kind of stories you want to share, and how many laughs I’m getting.
After the ceremony and housekeeping, I will handle all the backend work to make sure it’s all legal, and you will go off to cocktail hour… or more likely a thousand family photos, and maybe we’ll see each other at your friends wedding next year!

I am available for a small amount of weddings each year, and my dates fill up quickly as I am also photographing a ton of weddings. So, I prioritize couples who are excited to work with me, and who book me early.

I am proud to be licensed in the province of Ontario through the Togetherness Collective, a charity working on the ground in Guatemala to build homes for those in need. I am legally able to marry any two people (18+) who are not legally married to anyone else, and are willing and able to be married.
